Khadija discovered yoga in the early 2000s via Rodney Yee DVDs owned by her sister. She eventually started to take classes at studios throughout NYC and Westchester. She completed her 200 hour training at Yogamaya in Chelsea from 2019-2020. Khadija teaches yoga asanas (postures) and pranayama (breathing). Her instruction focuses on sound alignment and anatomy coupled with intelligent sequencing usually culminating in a peak pose. With an emphasis on cues to get the body in and out poses safely, Khadija strives to practice thoughtful yoga(asanas) to promote both physical and mental well-being.
